DNA match to MySNPs and multiple members of Judith Davis Family.  In searching cemetery records in Bell County,  found Griffin Goss Willis who traces to Samuel Willis in 1820 McMinn. Annie was Vianna Willis, daughter of Griffin.  Samuel settled McMinn with William and James, sons of William Willis Jr from late 1700s Rutherford. Samuel must be a part of the late 1700s Willis family.

Possible

1. James Willis Family Tree - atDNA match with Vern.  But, his ancestry appears Quaker.  Most likely of Thomas N Willis of Maryland Group. But, possibly has wires crossed and could be of our group.
2. Willis Family Tree - Owner: Nancy Willis.  No living male Willis relatives.  She appears to have mixed males from several different Willis groups.  atDNA match with Mark.
3. John Carl Willis Family Tree - atDNA match with Mark. But, his heritage goes back to Mass.  Could still be of Maryland Group,  but has wires crossed at some point.
4. sslarigo - Has DNA ties to HW.  Has Willis back in 1700s Maryland.  Might be from the Quaker Willis though. 
5. Ray Family Tree - MarilynRaney1.  Ends on William Mallory Willis in mid 1800s Jefferson, Alabama.  Father John could have been born in Ireland. 
6. Willis Family Tree 03 - CNWillis164.  Ends on a John Willis born 1798 in Rutherford County,  NC.   Think this might be North Carolina Group John.

1. Ancestors of Patricia - Patricia Walls. Dead ends on a George Willis in Monroe, La.  In 1910 was in Henderson Co,  Texas,  living next to grandfather of Vern.
