Willis Y-DNA Groups 1790-1850 Maryland
Marriage Records
Caroline County Census Records

DORCHESTER COUNTY

1790

JARVIS  age 55 1735-aft 1790  MARYLAND GROUP (son of John "Marshy Creek")   Tree
males under 16, 1
males over 16, 1
females, 3
household total, 5
Note - This can not be the Jarvis born 1758.  That one is in the 1790 and 1800 census of Stokes Co, NC.  This must be Jarvis 1735, son of John "Marshy Creek" 1683-1764.

SHADERICK
males under 16, 1
males over 16, 1
females, 5
household total, 7
Note - Wright Family History on FamilySearch,  pg 48,  indicates that a Shadrick Willis married Ann Wright in 1778 in Caroline County.   Also,  marriage record, here.   There is a 30 yr old Shadrack Willis in the 1860 census of Henry,  Indiana,  born in Maryland.   Likely somehow ties to this Shadrack.  There is a 1772 Christening record of a Shadrack Willis,  parents Andrew Willis, Sarah (likely the Pritchett of our Maryland Group?),  in Talbot Co,  Maryland.  He's too young though to have married in 1778.  Too much uncertainty to assign to a group.
12 Aug 1790: Shadrach Willis and Ann his wife of D Co to Mark Noble of same: part of “Addition to Mores Meadows” 85 A. Wit Jno Smoot , Dan Sulivane, Justices  [should be Northwest Fork of Nanticoke River]
